About this course

This workshop imagines you as a new accountant joining a newly started company, and walks through the real work step by step in Daftra. It opens with the purpose of accounting and of ERP systems, then explains the debit-and-credit rule and how to prepare journal entries, which many graduates find difficult.

The later sessions take each module in more depth:

  • Purchasing and inventory: the document cycle, stock permissions, the goods-in-transit account and automatic journal routing.
  • Sales and expenses: recording sales and expenses, including social insurance entries.

The examples are presented from the point of view of an in-house accountant, with attention to common mistakes in day-to-day work, such as choosing an inventory valuation method that suits the business and handling prepaid expenses.
