About this course

This course covers managing warehouses and stock in Daftra: enabling and adding warehouses and setting their permissions, setting up products and services with their categories, unit templates and default taxes, bundled products and item groups, and importing products from external files.

It then deals with controlling stock movements through stock vouchers and stock requests, the negative stock option, tracking products by serial number, lot number or expiry date, electronic scale barcodes, advanced pricing and price lists, and distributing expenses over purchase costs.

It finishes with stocktaking from the stocktaking management page and the mobile app, and assigning a default warehouse to each user or branch.

FAQ

Can I stop sales for more than the quantity in stock?

Yes. Disable "Allow Negative Stock" in the inventory settings and a "Quantity not available" message appears when you try to save the invoice. The negative stock lesson explains how this option works together with stock vouchers.

Can I do stocktaking from my phone?

Yes. Daftra's stocktaking app lets you count by scanning barcodes or entering quantities manually and then sync the sheet; the sheets must then be issued and settled in the system to affect quantities.

What is the difference between a bundled product and an item group?

A bundled product is a single product made up of several products in your account, whose components are deducted from stock. An item group is a main product with sub-items that differ by attributes such as colour and size.

What language are the videos in?

The videos are in Arabic, and every lesson has an English transcript and English captions.
